Over the last eight years as your District Councillor, I have done my utmost best to make sure our villages are not forgotten at the District Council - and be the strong voice I pledged to be for you.
I am working as hard as ever to raise your concerns and respond to the challenges we face.
My determination to get results and help people get the support they need and deserve is even stronger today as it was when you first elected me eight years ago. And the experience I now have means I can continue to be as effective during the reorganisation of local government.
If you are to elect me once again in May, I pledge that I will continue to work hard to serve you, to listen to you, and to help you as best I can.
All the best,
Heather
Cllr Heather Williams serving the villages of:
Abington Pigotts, Arrington, Cold Harbour, Croydon, East Hatley, Guilden Morden, Hatley St-George, Odsey, Shingay, Steeple Morden, Tadlow and Wendy.

I will keep local business informed of help available and support extra protection to stop the loss of amenities like pubs. I will continue to raise issues that effect our rural economy and will back our local farmers.

I will keep reporting potholes to the County Council and push for safer roads such as at the A505 junction in Odsey.

We need to protect the character of our villages, especially green spaces that let the countryside in. Once lost, the character of our villages will never return. I will not support development that is inappropriate.

I will support parishes wanting exception sites that aim for 100% affordable housing and importantly homes for those with a local connection.

I will never forget that it is your money that is being spent. I am against the 4-dayweek on full pay and vanity projects like new furniture when it is not needed.

Unnecessary tax rises is something I will not support. A freeze of Council Tax is what many residents need at the moment.
“This May there will be District Council Elections where I will seek to continue being your councillor. If you feel you could help my campaign for re-election please do get in touch, your support would be very much appreciated.” Heather Williams
